Make-up for the Natural Beauty Inside Every Man

By James A. Penn Platinum Quality Author

Seriously, has anyone ever considered the difference a little make-up can make to a man’s life and natural beauty? If not, why not? Ancient Egyptian men wore more make-up more than their female counterparts. Men participating in theatre had to wear as much make-up as women in order for their facial features to stand out from the back row. What about movie stars? Movie stars wear a little make-up to avoid imbalance in the complexion and to give a smooth look that makes women go crazy. A little extra color never goes amiss, either. What about today’s average man? Is it safe for him to wear make-up in a culture that portrays masculinity as rough and rugged? The answer to that question is totally up to each man himself.

What purpose could make-up have in the lives of every day men? Surely, men wake up to find that there are dark circles under the eyes and blemishes that stand out like beacons against otherwise smooth and unblemished skin. What about those days when the skin is ridiculously shiny or the lips are chapped? A little make-up can easily remedy these problems that sometimes interfere with a man’s natural handsomeness and thus to his confidence. For example, the use of concealer under the eyes or on blemishes can reduce the look of tiredness or just balance the skin if it’s absolutely important to look one’s best. A little lip gloss will provide sufficient moisture to smooth dried and cracked lips. Many lip glosses are absolutely colorless and without scent. Others are slightly tinted so as to get rid of that white peeled look as lips are restored to normal. A little foundation is a great way to reduce ridiculous amounts of shininess. And if there’s a constant difficulty of having lashes in the eyes (and it does happen), then a little clear mascara acts as a way to keep them just like how gel keeps the hair. Eater way, it’s important to decide whether or not these enhancers will help or harm the statement each man is trying to make.

What about the issue of masculinity? Isn’t it wrong to consider a man to be beautiful in the first place? No, certainly not. Beauty doesn’t have to always refer to women. Beauty is meant to explain the aesthetic pleasure of looking at or experiencing something. Usually, the idea of beauty is applied to things that seem soft to the eyes. The idea of soft beauty applies to many men; not all men are rugged. Some are very dainty. This isn’t a problem. Most of social gentlemen and businessmen are. Besides, the definition of masculinity is a personal thing. We all do gender. Therefore, gender flexibly fits to each personality and make-up is a great way to enhance that natural beauty that expresses it.
